3. COSTA
Is a British/American owned Italian cruise line, based in Genoa, Italy and under control of the Carnival Corporation & plc.
Founded in 1854, the company originally operated cargo ships, in order to carry olive oils and textiles from Sardinia to Liguria. In 1924 the company passed to founders sons (Federico, Eugenio and Enrico) that started commercial activities, buying the ship Ravenna. Commercial activities continued until the introduction of passenger services in 1947, with regular services between Italy and South America. The company later converted its entire fleet to full-time cruising, and as an independent company became one of the largest cruise operators in Europe, Acquired by Carnival Corporation in 2000, Costa Cruises is now one of ten brands operated by Carnival and accounts for approximately 16% of its revenue.

Today, P&O Cruises is Australia and New Zealands leading cruise line offering cruises to the South Pacific, Queensland and Asia from Sydney, Brisbane, Auckland and Singapore which appeal to couples, friend and families off all ages. The local fleet currently consists of the 47.000 ton PACIFIC SUN carrying 1.900 passengers and the 35.000 ton PACIFIC STAR with 1.350 passengers. Australias first superliner the 70.000 ton PACIFIC DAWN carrying 2,050 passengers joined the fleet in 2007 as the most modern and largest cruise ship ever to be based in Australia. 6. PRINCESS
Princess Cruises is a premium American cruise line, with offices in the Valencia section of the city of Santa Clarita, California and operating cruise ships. The company was made famous by The Love Boat TV series, in which two of its ships, the island Princess and PAcific Princess were featured.
Princess Cruises began in 1966, when founder Stanley MacDonals chartered Canadian Pacific Limiteds Alska cruise ship Princess Patricia for mexican Riviera cruises from Los Angeles during a time when she would have usually been laid up for the winter.
7. SAGA
Founded in 1951 Saga began as a small hotel in the seaside town of Folkestone. Noticing a gap in the market for off-peak holidays, enterpreneur Sidney De Haan launched breaks for retired holidaymakers. The idea took off, and soon he expanded the saga concept to hotels and tours around the globe.
Under the leadership of Sidneys son, Roger De Haan, the company grew into a complete lifestyle brand for the over 50s. And they havent looked back. In 1997, Saga Cruises launched its very own cruise line, which started with a single ship, the much loved Saga Rose.

8. VIKING
Viking Cruises offer both rever cruise and ocean cruise through two product lines. A global corporation headquartered in the United States with main operational headquarters in Basel, Switzerland, the company was estabilished in 1997 by a Scandinavian and Dutch consortium led by Torstein Hagen. Initially the company purchased four ussian ships and provided a Russian rivercruise product to Europans. The following year the company purchased additional ships and continued to cater to the European market. In 2000, the company Expanded into the American market, estabilishing U.S headquartes as Viking River Cruises in Los Angeles, California. Through rapid expansion, the purchase of KD River Cruise Lines, and unprecedented new builds, the river cruise division grew to be the worlds largest river cruise line, and currently offers cruises along the rivers of Europe, Russia China, Southeast Asia and Egypt. In May 2013, the company announced the launch of a new small-ship ocean cruising division, which began with the maiden season of Viking Star in spring of 2015, and featuring Baltic and Mediterranean itineraries. And in 2016, Viking Star was joined by two equally elegant sister ships, Viking Sea and Viking Sky.
Viking Cruises continues the Viking tradition of exploration along the worlds great waterways. The Board of Directors includes prominent investors and financial leaders with impressive credentials in cruising and shipping, and the company is led by chairman Torstein Hagen, a native of Norway and one of the origial founders of the company.
